On 15 and 16 November 2021, Bruno Lasserre, Vice-President of the Council of State, visited Luxembourg to discuss with the Presidents of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the Council of State and the Administrative Court of Luxembourg.
At the Court of Justice of the European Union, Bruno Lasserre met with President Koen Lenaerts, with whom he has frequent exchanges. This meeting was an opportunity for the two institutions to reaffirm their attachment to Community law and to discuss subjects of common interest: preliminary rulings; the role of the European and national judges in ensuring the implementation of directives; and environmental law.
Bruno Lasserre was also received by the Grand Duke of Luxembourg before co-chairing a bilateral seminar with Christophe Schiltz, President of the Luxembourg Council of State, and Francis Delaporte, President of the Administrative Court. Three subjects were discussed: the principle of legal certainty, the principle of proportionality, and the effects of the annulment of a regulatory act.
