On 23 and 24 September 2021, Bruno Lasserre, Vice-President of the Council of State, welcomed a delegation from the Greek Council of State led by its President, Dimitrios Skaltsounis. The programme of this working seminar included several round tables on subjects common to both institutions, which share the same missions: to judge and advise.

This seminar is the first of its kind with the Council of State of Greece. It is part of the expansion of bilateral cooperation that the French Council of State is conducting not only with its closest neighbours (Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, etc.) but also with more recent European partners (Poland, Sweden, etc.).
During these two days, three round tables were organised on topics common to both jurisdictions. The following topics were discussed:
> the advisory role of the Council of State in the context of major urban and regional planning projects
> orality and administrative proceedings,
> the State's responsibility for judicial decisions.

The Greek Council of State has the same jurisdictional and advisory functions as the French Council of State. It is an active member of ACA-Europe and the International Association of High Courts of Justice (AIHJA) and hosted its last Board meeting in September 2020 in Athens.
