On the 14th and the 15th of June 2024, a delegation from the Conseil d’État went to Bucharest for the first edition of the Franco-Romanian administrative days, centered around the theme of administrative efficiency.

The delegation of the Conseil d’État was received, alongside a delegation from Paris Panthéon-Assas University, by the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest and the High Court of Cassation and Justice of Romania.

During these days, which gathered judges, academics and students, three subjects were tackled: the territorial organisation of the State, the public service user and the investigation powers of the administration and administrative sanctions.
This event thus helps to foster dialogue that the Conseil d’État develops with the academic world, in Europe and globally.

The High Court of Cassation and Justice, Romania’s supreme jurisdiction, is the only judicial institution competent to ensure the sole interpretation and the homogenous application of the law by the other jurisdictions. It is divided into 4 chambers including and administrative and tax chamber.
